A week in and around Puerto de Mazarron

Food and drink are big on the list so we’ll start the week seeing life through a rosado-tinted glass

In between seeking out restaurants and cafes we took a boat trip around the bay. Our first attempt, on Friday, failed. We arrived at the port 10 minutes before the 11am sailing time to find the boat was full (not a big boat, but more of that later) so we spent the day exploring the bays on foot.

Our second attempt was the following day, Saturday, and we anticipated a crowd because of the weekend so we arrived an hour early, at 10am, and sat in the cafe closest to the boat. Several cups of coffee later, at 5 minutes to the 11am departure, we strolled over to the almost empty boat and boarded.

No, not one of those. This one
