Florence – day two, sightseeing

We took the Red Bus tour around Florence and up into the hills to Fiesole. The views, from the right side of the bus, were terrific. From our left side they were a bit more strained (no standing while the bus is moving, please).

I’d read somewhere “explore the narrow streets full of exciting shops; see magnificent views of Florence.” During our 20-minute stop we discovered the town square. We also discovered the magnificent view of Florence was available from a restaurant table.

The guide said there were other magnificent views but they were a 15-minute walk from the bus. Fortunately I took maths in school so decided not to explore further otherwise we might still be up there magnificenting. Anyway, here’s the Fiesole town square.

Back in Florence for a walk along the Arno riverbank after dinner to enjoy the sunset.
