A morning in Malmesbury, Wilts, UK

Malmesbury Is an old town in the Cotswolds. Malmesbury Abbey, founded in 675AD, was the burial place of King Athelstan, England’s first king, in 939AD.

Much later, it’s home to Malmesbury Tandoori

And The Smoking Dog pub

Reputed to be the oldest hotel in England, The Old Bell, lurking behind the foliage, dates back to 1220AD

The Abbey cemetery was very peaceful and apparently very popular with the lunchtime sandwich crowd
